TRUST - MANAGEMENT OF INDUSTRIAL TREATED WASTEWATER REUSE AS MITIGATION MEASURES TO WATER SCARCITY IN CLIMATE CHANGE CONTEXT IN TWO MEDITERRANEAN REGIONS

The overall objective of TRUST project is to contribute to reducing the water scarcity in Mediterranean regions where the risk is increased by a combined effect of water resources overuse and climate change. The project will consider one of the potential mitigation measures which is the reuse of treated industrial wastewater, either in the industrial process, or irrigation, or in aquifer recharge. Moreover, along with the objective of closing the water loop, TRUST will also focus on recovery of valuable substances for reuse.
